Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 February 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Kube IT Consulting FZCO ("Mouqabalah", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the mouqabalah.com platform (the "Platform"). It should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use the Platform after being presented with a cookie notice, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences (see Section 6 below).

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website operator. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and session storage.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function correctly and cannot be disabled. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, managing your session, or completing a payment. Without these cookies, the Platform cannot operate.

Authentication session cookies (Supabase Auth): maintain your logged-in state and secure session across pages. Provider: Supabase, Inc.

CSRF protection tokens: protect against cross-site request forgery attacks.

Security and rate-limiting identifiers: used server-side to prevent abuse and brute-force attacks. Provider: Cloudflare, Inc. (via Cloudflare Access and CDN).

Locale preference: remembers the language (French, English, or Dutch) selected by the user.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests / necessary for performance of the service. No consent required.

2.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies allow us to remember choices you make and to provide enhanced, more personalised features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

User interface preferences: theme or display settings stored client-side.

Legal basis: Consent where applicable; legitimate interest where the cookie is strictly required for the feature you actively use.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Platform, which pages are visited most, and how we can improve the service. All analytics data is pseudonymised or anonymised.

PostHog: we use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects pseudonymous event data about how users navigate and use the Platform. We do not send personally identifiable information (names, emails, wali data) to PostHog. Data may be processed on PostHog infrastructure. Provider: PostHog, Inc.

Legal basis: Consent. You may opt out via your cookie preferences or by using a browser extension that blocks PostHog (e.g., uBlock Origin).

2.4 Error Monitoring Cookies / Local Storage

We use error monitoring tools to detect and fix technical issues. These may store a session identifier in local storage.

Sentry / GlitchTip: collects error reports and stack traces to help us identify and resolve bugs. Error reports may include technical information about your device and browser, but not your personal profile data. Provider: Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) or self-hosted GlitchTip.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Platform security and quality assurance).

2.5 Payment Cookies

When you initiate a payment, Stripe may set cookies to facilitate payment processing and fraud prevention.

Stripe: used during checkout to detect fraud and provide a secure payment experience. Provider: Stripe, Inc. For details, see Stripe's Cookie Policy at stripe.com.

Legal basis: Necessary for performance of the contract (payment processing).

3. Third-Party Cookies and Services

Certain third-party services integrated into the Platform may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies and they are governed by the respective third party's privacy and cookie policies. Our key third-party providers include:

Supabase (database, auth) — supabase.com/privacy

Stripe (payments) — stripe.com/privacy

PostHog (analytics) — posthog.com/privacy

Cloudflare (CDN, security) — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

We do not use any advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or third-party behavioural advertising cookies. We do not sell data to advertisers.

4. Cookie Retention Periods

Session cookies: expire when you close your browser.

Authentication cookies: persist for up to 7 days (or as configured by Supabase Auth), to keep you logged in between sessions.

Analytics cookies (PostHog): the PostHog anonymous ID may persist for up to 1 year in local storage.

Cloudflare cookies: typically expire within 24 hours to 1 year depending on the specific cookie.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. At present, there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals, and the Platform does not currently change its behaviour based on DNT signals. We will continue to monitor developments in this area.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:

Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.

PostHog opt-out: you can opt out of PostHog analytics in the following ways: (1) install a content blocker such as uBlock Origin and add a rule to block requests to *.posthog.com and app.posthog.com; (2) use the PostHog opt-out API (available at posthog.com/docs/privacy/gdpr); or (3) enable the "Do Not Track" header in your browser (note: as stated in Section 5, we do not currently act on DNT signals system-wide, but PostHog respects DNT by default). Opting out prevents the PostHog script from being executed and no analytics events will be sent.

Cloudflare: Cloudflare security cookies cannot be disabled as they are essential to protecting the Platform from attacks and to serving content efficiently.

Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform and your user experience.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified on the Platform.
